Our Story

Henley Leadership Group was founded 20 years ago by courageous women who set out to disrupt the corporate status quo and upgrade outdated leadership habits. Their vision was clear: cultivating a new generation of conscious leaders prioritizing compassion, inclusivity, relationships, and inside-rounded development. They wanted to create balanced, inclusive, and equitable workplaces where everyone thrives. Two decades later, Henley Leadership Group has worked with hundreds of organizations and transformed thousands of individuals, staying true to its mission. Through innovative content, consistent focus on the context of the world we work in, and a relentless commitment to personal and professional growth, Henley Leadership Group continues to shape the future of leadership, one conscious leader at a time.

Our Approach

We are a team of leadership development experts who engage the whole leader through leadership coaching, training, and assessments. We offer solutions focusing on executive development, team development, emerging leader development, and collaboration. Our work disrupts the status quo, inspires leadership, and builds workplaces where everyone thrives. Since 2003, our firm has provided coaching and training to thousands of clients. Our work ranges from individual coaching to large-scale design and facilitation of internal leadership development academies. Our clients include leaders from the public sector, utility, healthcare, technology, education, and finance industries.

Five key areas of leadership inspire our coaching and development programs: (explore our Leadership Model here.)

  • Productive Engagement

  • Intellectual Agility

  • Vital Fulfillment

  • Innovative Actions

  • Integrated Ideals

When each of these areas is developed, leaders can balance tasks and relationships, take immediate action against the larger vision, seek input and feedback from diverse perspectives, and orient themselves around what is possible vs. what is wrong. In addition, when leaders embrace these areas of leadership, they cultivate workplaces that thrive.

Our Results

You can count on sustainable results that exceed expectations, improve organizational health, and empower leaders to be fully engaged.

What We Stand For

After coaching thousands of clients, we know healthy workplace cultures are diverse* and help source innovation and increase profitability. We stand for workplaces where all people thrive. We believe teams and leaders can build a more inclusive and equitable workplace culture when they:

  • Cultivate Cultures of Belonging through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Empower an Ecosystem of Collaboration

  • Engage in Whole Systems, Seeing and Holding a Complexity of Perspectives

  • Adapt to the Emerging Future

  • Prioritize Health and Well-being and Ensure Psychological Safety at Work

  • Embrace Multifaceted Intelligence

  • Cause Steadiness in a Volatile, Uncertain, Chaotic, and Ambiguous (VUCA) World

We are doing our own work. We collectively engage in ongoing learning and development to upgrade outdated habits, let go of what no longer serves us, and move toward new and emergent ways of leading. Some of the ways we do this:

  • Donate 5% of our profits annually to non-profit organizations chosen by our team members

  • Facilitate a monthly book club choosing diverse authors whose views and experiences haven't typically been represented in leadership work

  • Hold bi-monthly DEIB meetings to continue to explore and integrate anti-racism practices

  • Work hard to diversify our team, knowing that this is at the heart of transformational leadership and team development

  • Attend events, conferences, and retreats that challenge and expand our leadership development perspectives

  • Offer our services at special rates to non-profits who value creating inclusive workplaces where all people thrive

*A diverse workforce employs people of different cultural backgrounds, ages, races, genders, disabilities, religions, sexual orientations, and levels of professional experience.  (Indeed)

  • Yes! This is what we do best. Our programs are designed around each client, team, and organization's unique needs. Working together, we will define your true challenge and create an approach that aligns with your needs, vision, and values.

  • We do, and both approaches produce great results. All our programs, content, and training have been delivered in person and virtually. Our facilitators are highly skilled at creating a transformational, interactive experience in all settings.

  • It is coming soon! Due to go live in October 2024, the platform was created out of a commitment to ensuring that all people have access to great leadership development. We hope that this self-directed approach will make development more accessible to all.

  • This is not uncommon and makes total sense. We suggest a few things. First, look at our blogs, social media, and white papers. These are full of great insights, tips, and tools. In addition, you might want to consider a 2-hour development session on a topic of your choice. This is a great way to experience our work and see if it aligns with your organization.

  • Retention, engagement, and efficiency have the most significant impact on the bottom line. By developing leaders and teams, you demonstrate your commitment to them as valuable to the larger organization's success. When people know they belong and are of value, they engage more fully. In addition, when leaders know how to move through conflict and breakdowns with greater ease, they experience an overall increase in efficiency and time savings. Check out a few of our case studies on our clients page.

  • We believe it is at the heart of creating workplaces where all people thrive. Our work is developed, facilitated, and delivered through the lens of DEIB. This means we are ongoingly exploring ways to enhance our work to ensure it resonates with all people. We know, as facilitators, the importance of creating inclusive, equitable environments that cause belonging for all. We are forever learners, and know DEI is key to effective leadership and team development.

  • Ideally, our work makes the rest of your work easier. Our team also does all the project management work for you, allowing you to focus on your development, people, and the intended outcomes.
